From 18-21st October, we hosted a certified training course for the Initiatives in Lung Cancer Care Program (ILCC) at our Eldoret I Campus, Kenya. The training encompassed all components of lung cancer care and control from Burden, Epidemiology in Sub-Saharan Africa, Risk factors, Pathology, Clinical Presentation, Diagnostics, Staging, Treatment, Biosimilars, Palliative and Hospice Care, Prevention, Screening, and Early Detection. Participants were from affiliated centers across Kenya.
The ILCC program is a collaborative project between the International Cancer Institute (ICI), Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA), and the NCD Alliance Kenya (NCDAK).
