Best Oncology Training – Education and Training | International Cancer Institute

 

The International Cancer Institute (ICI) offers oncology training through the education and training program. We have trained more than 2000 health care professionals across the world since we began our operations in 2019.

 

Our short-term courses target different levels of healthcare professionals, imparting them with competitive oncology training in their workplaces. Moreover, we are the coordinating center for the College of Oncology of East, Central, and Southern Africa.

 

Besides oncology training, ICI also supports a peer-to-peer oncology consultant exchange program in Sub-Saharan Africa. Some of the professionals that benefit from this program include; oncologists, pathologists, histotechnicians, surgeons, epidemiologists, data management experts, biostatisticians, etc.

Training Curriculum

 

ICI’s reputation for oncology training has allowed us to initiate, support, and participate in the development of long-term curricula and courses for the College of Oncology of East, Central, and Southern Africa among other medical training institutions across SSA.

 

Some of the curricula we have developed include Oncology Nursing, Anticoagulation, Palliative care, Oncology Pharmacy, Fellowship in Medical Oncology.

 

We have also developed innovative courses for general practitioners, surgeons, pathologists, and histotechnicians. In addition, we have partnered with Kabarak University to create the first Oncology Pharmacy postgraduate program in Sub Saharan Africa(SSA).
