International Cancer Institute will support the National Cancer Survivors’ Day event organized by the Uganda Cancer Society at Kabwohe Stadium, Sheema Municipality, Uganda, on June 22nd, 2023.
The event seeks to bring hope to cancer patients and help cancer survivors reintegrate into their communities. In addition, the organizers seek to create awareness around early detection and prevention and an enabling policy environment. One of ICI’s pillars is early detection and prevention.
The theme of the event is Celebrating Life, Creating Hope.
