Salima Kasaya was diagnosed with Stage IIIB HER-2+ breast cancer 4 years ago. It has been a tough journey but she is grateful to her sister Asha who housed her during chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions, and her entire family for supporting her.

 

Salima encountered a number of challenges and complications during treatment, including a fracture to her left foot, but through this support system and aid relayed by her doctors and nurses overcame them. Salima encourages newly diagnosed patients to remain positive throughout treatment.
