The 14th EMPOWER Cancer Clinic was officiated and launched in Nyandarua County (Kenya) on 9th December 2021 at J.M. Kariuki County Referral Hospital. This was led by H.E. Anne Kimemia (First Lady of Nyandarua County) and H.E. Francis Kimemia (Governor of Nyandarua County).
The EMPOWER project seeks to promote cancer prevention, early diagnosis, screening, and enhancement of cancer care systems in the country. Implementing and strategic partners for the clinic included the County First Spouses Association, The Ministry of Health, County Government Of Nyandarua, Roche, Women4Cancer, Africa Cancer Foundation, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), and International Cancer Institute (ICI).
We will continue to provide continuous professional/technical support in cancer care and control services at the clinic and the others.
